Lookr and A21

Slavery was officially abolished in the British colonies in 1834. In the US by 1865.

Despite our laws and governance slavery still exists.

The statistics are shocking. Between two and four million people are trafficked each year, and the vast majority of victims are women and children. Most are abducted, some are sold by their families, and the majority end up being used in the sex trade industry.

An overwhelming percentage of victims of sexual exploitation and slavery are under 18. The average age of a victim is 14. Many aren't even in double figures.

There are many charities we could support, but the A21 campaign really struck a chord with us. The A21 campaign seeks to abolish injustice in the 21st Century, by raising awareness, taking legal action against the traffickers and rescuing and rehabilitating victims. We genuinely feel that if we can even make a difference in one person's life, then it's truly worth the effort.

Charity Pledge

Lookr wants to offer financial support to A21 and is donating 15% of proceeds from every sale of virtual and real world clothing directly to A21 to help fight human trafficking.

Our aim is to raise money for A21, but also to raise awareness of the issues of human trafficking. We hope you will help to spread the message. If you'd like to pledge your support, view the A21 campaign website, or contact us for more information.
