Bathing in the AfterglowEveryone needs a good quality pair of sunglasses in their inventory: if you want an outstanding pair, I highly recommend shopping at GOS. Gospel Voom's range of fully-customisable shades are a necessary accessory for every fashionista, and since you can change every element from the frame shape, colour, tint and opacity, you can create a plethora of looks completely unique to you.

Razor is one of three options available (you can see another here). Tthe sleek styling on the frames is complimented by angled lenses, shown in one of the iridescent colours. You can style the lenses as much as the frames to compliment your outfit, setting a low opacity to see more of the eyes, or go opaque for a showy alternative. By touching your eyewear you'll bring up an options menu to make the neccessary changes quickly and easily, you can even pop these up on your head with a button press, which is so much easier than worrying about manual repositioning.

There are many ways to wear stupendous sunglasses, but I chose a subdued glam for this look. The woolen tunic is from Niniko, and is available in a few shades with various length options on the hem. I must warn that the skirt prim will slice your body if you don't choose your AO carefully, but if you can work around that then this is a cute piece that's actually very versatile.

Next layer down is Lookr's Floral, shown here in dark blue, although you can make any of the four colours work if you accessorise accordingly. Floral is a great little top to wear alone, but I often use it to add some extra zing to my outfits.

The turtleneck is from Shop Seu. It's a low-priced piece that's been around for a long time, and while the sleeves do bleed a little and the black is very black, it's one of those wardrobe essentials that is easy to layer. I used it here to balance the extreme hue of my Abyss boots, and to give an extra dimension to the whole outfit.

I accessorised lavishly with the SW2 set from ICoN. ICoN's store is a treasure trove of tempting accessories: I could have used all number of pieces here, but it was impossible to resist the chunky chains with cabochon gems.

Silky, shiny tights cover up what little leg is on show above the boots: Camilla Yosuke has done a great job with these, even detailing the re-enforced toe and stomach panel as you'd expect to find in real life. She has all manner of tones and styles available at Insolence, along with the rest of her gorgeous lingerie.

If you can focus skyward again, you'd do well to take a closer look at my new wig. This adorable hairstyle from Tiny Bird is perfect for the neat freak in you, with hair scraped back and wound around into a braid that encircles your head. A few stray tufts give character without loosing the sleekness that makes this style so much fun to wear. It can be worn without the bangs, but I adore the fringe on this, not least because the texturing is so well done.

 Conceal or Reveal

The weather's getting cooler and the days are getting shorter, so it seemed time to put together a outfit more suited to the increasingly wintery weather.

I really liked this camouflage jacket from SF Design. It's padded all over, with puffed body and arms, closing with fitted cuffs to the wrists. The rolled hood finishes the jacket and is detailed with loose draw strings. It's a great piece that I'm sure will be popular around the grid: there are a couple of different prim sizes available in the pack, and as a result I managed to get a custom fit by mixing and matching without needing to edit any of the prims. I didn't find a demo available in store, but you do have options regarding your prefered permissions, and if you have any problems fitting, Swaffette Firefly offers personalised help. There's a notecard at point of sale to answer any questions before you buy.

The shirt is 'Mane' by Lookr, featuring a stylised lion's head positioned at an angle across the chest and neckline. The design and placement creates interest when layered beneath other items or when worn alone.

The trousers are from Cubic Effect. They have a durable but lightweight feel about them, and are well textured with plenty of detail to suggest a slightly elasticated waist, as well as the typical back and front pockets, wrinkles and folds. The prims suffer slightly from blending issues in certain lighting, but generally they work well, offering a unique shape and style.

You've seen these Akeyo Chucks before, but this is the closed option. Besides, with complete freedom to recolour each section individually - even colouring each shoe differently - you really can get an awful lot of wear from these, tailoring them to suit whatever you wear.

There seems to be a wig for every occasion over at MADesign, which is probably why it features so regularly in Adam's wardrobe. This cute casual style is of medium length, and sits slick to the head, with choppy layers that give it depth despite the closeness. It tucks nicely into the hood, although a style with some height and a cropped back could have worked just as well.

My Look is Attainable - 1

The style focus today is on these shades from Gos. Available for men and women, the new Custom range provides sophistication and such diversity that you can literally match these to anything you wear with them. From the moment you rez these out you'll notice the quality. The case itself is a work of art: spare a few prims in your home and keep this on the counter, leaving it open to show off your new eyewear or closed for a more subtle cue for your friends to enquire about. Inside you'll find your shades and me-oh-my, these are fine! Gos sells shades in several styles but I'm modelling Compulsive here. The primwork is to a very high standard, with sleek textures that can be changed at the click of a button.

The base model starts you off with a few options. The exact specifcations depend on the shades you buy, but the click-to-activate HUD allows you to change everything from the lens tint to lens style, size and even the position on your head. If you get bored of the colour or fancy jazzing things up a bit, then you need to purchase an upgrade spray can. Pop your avie on a pose stand and activate the spray: you'll shake the can, spray up a storm, and now have additional options for your eyewear. The idea is original and the execution is fabulous, offering an immense amount of customisation. I don't think I've ever had so much fun with an upgrade or a pair of sunglasses before - but don't take my word for it, go visit Gospel Voom's store and try a demo for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

I found the scarf at Zaara. It's actually intended for the gents, but I just couldn't help myself. It scales down to fit but retains its ample size, leaving you wrapped in reams of lushious fabric. I love the shape as much as I love the texturing, particularly the tabbed ends and the stringed hem.

The cardigan is from Pink Outfitters. The texturing is convincing with hand-drawn crochet detail that makes me feel warm and snug just looking at it. The skewed button-up is a nice touch, and worked well with Lookr's Cosy top as a base. I like the open, dipped neckline on our ladies tshirts, and the tucked in option goes great with these pants from Sweetest Goodbye. I had to take the cuffs off to allow me to wear the boots, but trust me, they're worth it.

My Look is Attainable - 2

In my last post regarding Magnifico's boots, I didn't show you a closeup. No more! I decided to go crazy and post a second picture to give you a decent view of this gorgeous footwear by Lyanis Sin. This ankle boot is so good you could eat it: the leather slouches from the top down into the shoe, detailed all over with ultra-realistic creases. The toe piece is made from a separate section of leather, stitched back to the main. Leather bands decorate, holding a silver hoop on the one side. The sole is simply finished, but certainly very chic. I'm a real fan of the black lace roses that adorn the top, but the boots have a plain or lace option included with each colour pack.

Back up top, quick mentions for the skin and hair. Both were gifts and I don't think either are still available, but you can see the quality of the designers in any case. The hair is from Mirone, with a very high hairline and extravagant bun piled high on the head for a real glamour style. The 'Adie' style still in store mimics this style, and Mirone stock other hairs from casual to high fashion looks.

The skin from Symphony Skins shows a great deal of care and attention to the face in particular, with a slightly metallic makeup that seems to be reflective of the healthy, luminant body. The V3 series is available in store in a variety of makeups and skin tones, so if you like the look you should definitely fly over and check out some of the demos.
